Venting for dome array

Tuesday, December 13th, 2016

What’s the Venting for the dome array? The movement of air is called “venting” and is important so that the metal dome functions properly. Lack of venting can cause adverse affects on the feel and function of the switch. While venting is not absolutely necessary for every application, it is desirable in almost all applications. When the metal dome is depressed, air is trapped underneath it. To avoid compressing the air under the dome when actuated, it is recommended that a vent channel be present.
The venting of the metal dome can be achieved a number of different ways. Some Examples: a.) vent channel can go from dome to dome via a spacer layer b.) dome arrays can be top vented through the polyester material c.) vent channel can go through the board. Not properly venting the dome will result in significant loss of tactile response.

How to assemble metal dome on the dome array?

Tuesday, October 8th, 2013

How to assemble metal dome on the dome array? This may no contact with metal dome production people are unaware of.

Generally, there are two ways:

1, The metal dome array is formed by a metal dome assembly tooling, we shake up the metal domes onto the metal dome array. We make metal dome assembly tooling according to the metal dome shape. The material is aluminum plates, and each factory will make with a different thickness;

2, Through the tube to assemble. This method with small tolerances, faster, but the cost is relatively higher, it’s suitable for the production of large quantities.

In general, the first method are most used by facories, as it’s more simple, convenient and easy to operate. If you want to learn more about metal dome array production knowledge,we always welcome you to visit our company! ! !

Dome array production process of mold

Friday, September 16th, 2011

Today we hereby to introduce the details of dome array production process of mold. Please see below steps:

1, The first to punch spacer by mold (punch the dome array holes and ventilation slots);

2, Then put mylar cover on spacer;

3, Use mold to punch location holes(for LED lights or others);

4, then cut the dome array into appropriate size;

5, Assemble metal domes by tooling;

6, QC for the loss, incorrect and doubles metal domes;

7, Cover protective film on back;

8, Punch the outline of dome array;

9, Final inspection  (including the product appearance, dirt, less metal domes, etc..);

10, Packaging.

The above is the details of dome array production process of mold, if you want to know more, please contact us.

Ten reasons of tactile dome dirty in dome array

Thursday, October 28th, 2010

Today follow me to know the ten reasons of tactile dome dirty in dome array have caused, analyze the reasons and find solutions to problems to ensure the quality of dome array(dome sheet).

1. Tactile dome itself dirty:  change to the clean metal dome(brown rust stains or white spots are tactile dome dirt;

2. Tactile dome collection table or the vibration plate are dirty: the work surface need to be cleaned before the production process;

3. Stamping die dirty itself: the stamping dies need to be cleaned before production (usually is grease.);

4. Electrical inspection process dirty: clean before working (usually oil);

5. Protective film composition problems caused dome array pollution: choose better quality protective film (usually white spots minor impurities);

6. Materials electrostatic strong absorption caused Dome Array stolen stolen sewage pollution: workshop humidity adjustment (usually fibers, dander minor impurities);

7. Hand touch tactile dome directly: work with finger cover (usually fingerprint);

8. Anhydrous alcohol (orange water) wipe casued pollution: use the clean alcohol, if they are “pollution” needs immediate replacement (generally white spots minor impurities);

9. The working environment and the operating table dirty: Clean the table before woking (usually particulate impurities, or fibers, dander minor impurities);

10. Storehouse dirty: keep in clean containers (usually particle impurities, or fibers, dander and other minor impurities.)

We have learned above ten reasons and solutions of the tactile dome dirty in dome array, so we can be in control of the production process, and to prevent the production of defective products.
