Individual Dome Array Specifications

What is the individual dome array? This is just one metal dome is attached to a square of PET adhesive tap. We also called”Standard One Key Metal Dome Array“. This is commonly used in only one button switch.

We have the individual dome array includes the following types of specifications:

Choose the suitable size of metal dome and dome array to apply to your PCB. Of course, these size of the one key dome array is a standard specification, but it also can be the appropriate adjusted according requirements of customers. but one thing is need to ensure there is enough glue around the dome array to paste it firmly above the PCB board.

LGF metal dome array specifications

Ok, this time let’s see more details of LGF metal dome array specifications.  LGF means Light Guide Film, is the difference of the normal metal dome array is that there is a LGF on the top layer.

The working theory is the use of the light reflection and refraction theory, and then let the surface of the keypad illuminated uniform and higher brightness.
1. you can save the several LED lights, and the SMT fee.

2. solve the uneven brightness, high electrical power consumption, and high costing.

3. structure is easy, don’t affect the design of product.

4. two thickness of LGF: 0.125mm and 0.10mm.

The specifications of dome array

This time please follow me to know the specifications of metal dome array:

1. Mylar: Transparent, the thickness is 0.05mm on the top layer
2. Spacer: White or Transparent are available. The thickness is 0.075mm, 0.010mm, and 0.0125mm.
3. Adhesive: Thickness is from 0.02 to 0.05mm.
4. Peel-off-paper: It support the metal dome array. You can peel off the metal dome array from the paper, and then stick it onto the PCB. It’s transparent and the thickness is normal 0.07mm.
5. Outline: the size we can make at most 88*78mm. We can make as your  PCB drawing.

The specifications of metal dome

This time please follow me to know the specifications of the metal dome.

1. The material: our stainless steel of metal domes are made from type 301 SUS. This material we choiced as it’s with low carbon persent (10%) which offers the best oxidiation resistance. We purchase the material from USA and Japan. 
2. The thickness: Normally, the thickness is 0.06mm, 0.08mm, 1.0mm, 1.2mm.
3. Click ratio: CC: Click Ratio; CP: Compression Peak Force; CL: Compression Low Force; RL: Release Low Force; RP: Compression Peak Force
CC(%)=(CP-CL)/CP x 100%, it’s normally between 35% and 60%.
4. Height: The height is equal the stoke + thickness of the metal dome.
5. Life Expectancy:  Life cycles of our metal domes are from 300,000 to 1000,000 times. The life expectancy of our metal domes is very stable.
6. Plating: There are three types for plating: Nickel plating, silver plating and gold plating are available.
7. Usage of snap domes: Metal domes are widely use in the swithces, such as the phone, Mp3, Mp4, Microwave oven, toys, remoted controller, and Medical equioments, and etc..
