T Series Metal Domes
T-series metal domes(snap domes) are triangle shape switches that can be mounted on double-sided printed circuit boards, on flex circuits, or in membrane switch panels, and they are widely used in the electronic toys, desktop phones, medical equipments.
The size of the T series metal domes is from 4mm to 20mm, and the force is from 100g to 5000g. The advantage of the T series metal domes in the same diameter is that it’s with the high actuation force, normal the force can over the 600 gram. However, Because of the structure of this type, The life cycles is lower than C and F series snap domes, about three hundred thousand time, but it can support the overall life of the end-products.
According to the structure of the T series metal domes, it divided into four items:
1. NT-series: Without legs
2. ST-series: With two short legs: 0.8*0.8mm(width * length of the legs)
3. MT-series: With two middle legs: 0.8*1.5mm
4. LT-series: With two long legs: 0.8*3.0mm
According to the thickness of the PCB, you can select the suitable legs, then insert the legs to the holes of the PCB to fixed. It can obliterate the process of the solder and adhesive metal domes.
