What’s the UV Plunger Metal Dome Array? UV Plunger Metal Dome Array is that the normal metal dome array with plunger on the top.

Do you know why there is UV plunger on the top of dome array? There have two functions as below:
1. increase the total height;
2. increase the click feeling.

Now the most popular used for metal dome array is the double-layers. The top layer is the Mylar, transparent with 0.05mmthickness; Bottom layer is Spacer, we have the white and transparent, two kinds materials. The thickness is 0.05mm and 0.075mm; Last we have a support layer to prevent the metal dome from the dust, dirt,etc..

Dome array production process of mold

Today we hereby to introduce the details of dome array production process of mold. Please see below steps:

1, The first to punch spacer by mold (punch the dome array holes and ventilation slots);

2, Then put mylar cover on spacer;

3, Use mold to punch location holes(for LED lights or others);

4, then cut the dome array into appropriate size;

5, Assemble metal domes by tooling;

6, QC for the loss, incorrect and doubles metal domes;

7, Cover protective film on back;

8, Punch the outline of dome array;

9, Final inspection  (including the product appearance, dirt, less metal domes, etc..);

10, Packaging.

Metal dome array deviation problem

Do you have the questions of the metal dome array deviation problem? & do you also worry about it will affect the use of the dome array. Here we have this problem, explain in detail the existence of the metal dome array deviation problem.

1, The first metal dome array is made by laser, and assembly by fixture, there is a +/-0.15mm tolerance range;
2, Metal dome array of empty slots in diameter larger than metal domes as 0.20mm, so when the metal domes in the slot is ok; normal range
3, When metal dome array installed on the PCB, in fact, does not affect the clink feeling.

Metal dome array with a slight deviation in the production process is an inevitable phenomenon, is within the tolerance range, it does not affect the use of metal dome array installation. But exclude more serious deviation, this time we will test it by hand to correct them there.
